Last week in the Outerbanks was just what the doctor ordered. I got to get back in to my workout routine by starting each day with some sort of exercise (thanks to my amazing boyfriend for buying a bike rack so we could bring our bikes, even though is was probably more of a pain for him!). We didn't waste any sun light at all, spending the majority of our days plopped on the beach. I was able to finally finish The Man Repeller, which was a great read (love her writing) and it turns out she and I have more in common than I thought. Our nights were spent sitting around the dinner table, with frozen margartia's for happy hour, followed by some sort of home cooked meal. It was as relaxing as a vacation could get.
I didn't really even wear real clothes that often, which is why there aren't going to be a bunch of beachy outfit posts this time. And even though I cringe at the thought of a missed photo op, it was amazing to just chill. Our last night there, Wes and I went out to pick up dinner to treat his parents as a little "thank you," so I got dressed and even (sort of) did my hair. We picked up some North Carolina BBQ from our favorite restaurant (and old employer), Pigman's BBQ. I love this shirt my grandma brought me back from Paris and I knew it's beachy palette would be perfect for my trip. She got Erika and I both shirts from Zara while on her five week excursion in Europe (she's très chic like that). I'm pretty sure she didn't know that there was Zara in the US, but either way, there's no denying the woman has great taste. The saying on my shirt was pretty fitting for our last night; see you later, OBX!
